As a Women’s Health Expert, I have been able to identify the
4 Pillars of Women’s Health to guide women’s success through menopause.
All 4 are equally important and need to be aligned providing our body with the foundation of support it so craves. If one pillar is off-balance our body is not in homeostasis and other areas will suffer or try to overcompensate.
The 4 Pillars are:
- Proper Nutrition & Lifestyle: Eating well is very simple. I call it “clean eating”. As we age nutrition becomes another very strong pillar as our body is now at a higher risk of insulin-resistance, diabetes, hypertension and more. I believe many women eat properly however their “new” body just won’t respond. Other women do their best however their unstable hormone imbalance creates roadblocks such as sugar cravings and/or stress eating.
- Exercise: “Movement is Medicine”. Our best window is 3 to 5 times per week. However even 20 to 30 minutes/session is of benefit to our emotional and physical health. Not only does it lower Cortisol it improves our mind-set. A great piece to add to our structured morning.
- Stress Management: Stress can lead us down to road to unwanted health challenges. At times it may sneak up on us especially for women often overwhelmed with life’s responsibilities at work & home. Creating a structured morning and embracing self-care is a great starting point.
- Hormone Balance: As women age and begin to struggle with unwanted weight gain and a dramatic change in body shape, they may not recognize that hormone imbalance is a key component. In fact, it is the reason why old solutions won’t work as their chemistry has changed. While the first 3 pillars are an important component if won’t be enough to bring their body back into balance, to get the results they so desperately seek. It all begins with the Saliva Hormone Test!
Women of all ages should structure their life with these 4 pillars. Why? Because when you reach menopause and are unprepared for the journey ahead your body will change quickly…perhaps overnight. Your self-esteem will take a hit and you may not be comfortable in your own skin. Is that truly the road you want to travel? Take time today to invest in yourself!
